Capricorn One is the alias for group members Colin Partridge and Patrick Bishop-Hill. Having met at art college in London, the two formed a fast friendship based on their mutual love of science fiction and synthesizers. Formed in 1996 and originally experimenting with vocal-based synth-pop, the duo gradually shifted focus to experimental instrumental works. Their first full-length release on Stasisfield, panopticon is a collection of tracks presented as "a micro-melodic ode to Doctor Who."
