Stasisfield founder john
kannenberg recently performed at the New York edition
of the Placard Festival, an ongoing international
festival of headphone music which took place concurrently
in New York, London, Paris, and many other locations for
the first time this year. He performed selections from his
current Stasisfield release miles. as well
as his upcoming release, .point, on Topscore's
range
series. Other performers included Andrew Neumann, Lukasz
Lysakowski [of 242.pilots] and David Michael, Kendra Juul,
omnid, Bit Shifter, No One Receiving, and many others. Much
thanks to Mike Rosenthal for putting the festival together
and inviting some great acts.

Stasisfield
is pleased to announce that it will be a part of BURN
STATION, a project of Platoniq.net and Radiored.org.
Burn Station is a booth which will be located near the SONAR
festival grounds in Barcelona, Spain during this year's
festival, June 12-15. It will offer a sampling of digital
music from many online labels, including Stasisfield.com.
While stopping at Burn Station, patrons will
be able to listen to tracks, edit their own compilations,
and burn them onto a CD-R free of charge.
Burn Station is not officially affiliated
with SONAR and receives support from independent arts organizations
throughout Barcelona.

Stasisfield announces the second installment
of the sonic planar analysis CD series. Stasisfield
: sonic planar analysis 02 : the audible still-life
[scheduled for release on 1 May 2003] will include contributions
by glenn bach / jeremy boyle / john hudak / irving + orser
/ neil jendon / john kannenberg / koura / mou, lips! / jon
mueller / plank / hal rammel / trace reddell / steve roden
/ sawako / malte steiner.
Coinciding with the compilation will be a
new Stasis_Space exhibition based on the same theme,
containing a series of interdisciplinary artworks derived
from still-life set-ups. [ Update: this exhibition and compilation
