Seattle-based phonographer, composer,
sound artist + and/OAR label head Dale Lloyd presents
a two-part meditation of alchemical sound. Lateral
Minor's seemingly random, staccato hiccups of processed
sonic material are interspersed with swathes of silence
that gradually give way to a beautifully layered passage.
Its companion piece Turba is split into five movements,
each of which appears to process similar source material
in a variety of ways – a lush illustration of
an almost magical process of duplication and transformation.
