Chicago-based trio Fessenden - Joshua
Convey (bass), Stephen Fiehn (Guitar, CD players,
Click Wheel), Steven Hess (Drums, Percussion) - offer
up a trio of tracks recorded live in the studio with
a single microphone. Each track has a distinct atmosphere
while progressing through a series of moods. Quietly
subtle textures play against harsh moments of volume,
low hums and buzzes contrast with crisp percussion,
drones interplay with staccato chords. Each piece
displays a delicate balance of acoustic, electric
and electronic sounds.
