We encourage artists of all disciplines to create additions to the pieces contained in this exhibition for future versions of the show. However, this is not intended to become a standard "remix" project, wherein the existing work is sampled, manipulated and moulded into something completely new. Participation in this project requires careful consideration of issues such as duration, image size and/or functionality and are crucial to the success of the project.

Using any piece from any of the versions of the exhibition as a starting point, artists must take into consideration the palimpsest concept before beginning work on their submissions. The pieces on view in any of the versions of this exhibition are to be viewed as surfaces upon which to create a new work. The surface should be erased, yet still leave traces of the original layer(s) of work behind. The new work should be created on top of these traces while allowing them to show through.

How this is actually executed is up to the individual artist and, of course, the original medium of the piece.

Please contact us by email first to arrange delivery of your finished piece. Stasis_Space reserves the right to publish or not publish the pieces it receives as it sees fit.

Exhibition upgrades will be released periodically as the pieces are added to.
