IMAGERY, AUDIO + TEXT - VERSION 1.0
Glenn
Bach's Round Length of the Room continue's Bach's artistic
mapping of his urban surroundings, presenting an image which is
a second-generation spectrogram: sound is extracted from a photograph,
then flipped back into the image in an indefinitely long process.
The piece's title is a found poem derived from multiple BabelFish
translations of the title of the original photograph, "Fourth
Street and Redondo Boulevard, Long Beach."
Cardarelli
Luigia's Fire, Water, Air, Earth uses MIDI audio and animated
gifs to present an abstract representation of the four primary medieval
elements.

TEXT + MIDI - VERSION 1.0
Trace
Reddell's Machinery For Dreaming is an audio construct based
on a textual source, Thomas De Quincey's "Suspiria de Profundis."
The text is translated into raw MIDI data which is then processed
using one of the artist's self-designed patches for Reaktor. The
resulting audio, a series of clicks, beeps, static and synth, abstracts
the original material while creating a new art surface; one level
of its palimpsest has already been completed by its very composition.
