Italian artists
Emanuela de Angelis and Andrea Gabriele craft a stunning variety
of analog and digital sounds to create densely-layered audio compositions.
Their web site is both a promotional space for their musical activities
and a breeding ground for artistic ideas in a wide range of disciplines
including photography, poetry and cuisine.

mou, lips!
It's an art box created after late night discussions
about endlessness and between long pauses of reflection by emanuela
de angelis and andrea gabriele. from rock to jazz, from classical
to disco-dance, pop, ethnic to electronic... our musical approach
comes from so many years of music-listening, concert-going, watching
kilometers of films.... sometimes enjoying, sometimes getting bored
of this.
maybe, someone could tell that this is the result
of the young generation putting up with global cultural industry,
unfortunately. but we don't want to merely reflect or reject this
phenomenon. we are here in order to extract a genuine "flavour"
(without limits or cliches) which is a distillation of all aspects
of life. this part of life assigned to us. here and now.
we can hear, see, touch, smell and "eat"
so many different things, places, states of mind... air, mountains,
cakes, rain, saudade, sea, dust, kalimba sounds, languages, place-leaving,
going back home, dreaming, telling lies, chocolate, telling truth,
feeling stranger at home, relaxing in a chaotic place, warming up
in front of the fire, feeling angry about human attitudes, bird-listening,
letter-writing, eureka!, dancing at dawn, loving...
mou, lips! it's an attempt to communicate, to make
this something you can hear, see, touch, smell and "eat".
maybe, at this point, you could create something new from this input
or simply enjoy it. energy converted into new energy. you can freely
open this box and suck the "flavour". this is nourishment.
this is our media, old and new, the techniques can
be traditional and alternative. this can be something that makes
you feel alive and conscious, taking care of your creative health.
a health so precious that someone is trying to steal from us. we
cannot ignore this situation.
the channel is open, let your flux go!
