James Schoenecker (b.1975) is a co-founder of Milwaukee's topscore label and a sound artist who creates abstract digital minimalism, frequency artifacts and processed hi-contrast modular synthesis. Recording and performing under the moniker of pressboard as well as forming one half of the outfit dartanjal, Schoenecker has numerous releases on topscore, stasisfield, zod and addict records. Schoenecker has performed in various cities around the country including Milwaukee, Chicago and New York. Recently he has performed for the ongoing series 'New No York' held at Tonic (NYC) with Dion Workman, Adam Simmons and Newton Armstrong.
