The sound of the furnace in my new practice/recording space often inadvertantly becomes part of what I'm working on. The low rumbles have played bass roles in some of the recent recordings I've done. There are ways to work around it, but I finally decided to work with it, and focus exclusively on the quite extraordinary range of sound it has. This still life reveals the acoustic wind orchestra that resides in my basement.
